The creative process is mysterious. It's part skill, part knowledge, and part hard work. But it's really amazing when it's in large part inspiration. That's why I chose this painting of Regina Spektor to be the first post on my new blog. To me, her music taps into a spirit that's both whimsical and deep, emotional and intellectual. When I paint, I aspire to do the same.
